Professionals

I work with children and their parents, and organisations such as schools and nurseries.

I offer the following services:

  • Assessment  – e.g. to explore cognitive, literacy and numeracy skills, social communication and emotional wellbeing
  • Report writing – e.g. to describe a person’s strengths and weaknesses, and appropriate strategies to implement, to support requests for access arrangements for exams, educational and health care plans (EHCPs)
  • Coaching – e.g. teacher coaching as part of professional development
  • Consultation – e.g. one off session to discuss a concern
  • Intervention – e.g. working with a pupil to improve motivation, running a social skills group
  • Training – e.g. working with individual or staff groups to raise attainment in writing, or to manage challenging behaviour, training social workers in understanding of developmental conditions such as ASC

Requests for involvement cover children and young people with a wide range of profiles including:

  • General learning difficulties
  • Developmental delay
  • Specific learning difficulties; dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia (Developmental Coordination Difficulties, DCD), Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder (ADD, ADHD)
  • Speech, language and communication difficulties
  • Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
  • Social, emotional or behaviour difficulties
  • Physical or sensory difficulties e.g. visual or hearing impairments
  • Genetic conditions e.g. Down’s Syndrome
  • Gifted and talented
